1962 SEPTA Budd M3 'Almond Joy' EL Cars

These cars were built for the PTC in 1962 by the Budd Company. Area railfans dubbed them 'Almond Joy' cars due to their four prominent roof-mounted fan housings. The cars were delivered in single-end pairs and double-end single units. They ran until the mid 1990s when replaced by new Adtranz-built M4 cars.

This 2-Car set consists of one powered and one dummy car. The models represent the single-end units that ran in pairs. They are painted silver with detail painting and SEPTA graphics and markings.
